PROJECT DESCRIPTION. The project involved the construction of a pavilion for art exhibitions and conferences.
THE PROBLEM. The foundation soil, heavily polluted, could not be removed. Additionally, the architecture featured a series of tubular structures shaped like a cloud projecting above the building, complicating its interaction with the structure below.
THE SOLUTION. A slab foundation on micropiles was created to minimize soil removal. In the elevated structure, two autonomous structures were built and joined together so that the external structure did not affect the internal one, accommodating significant differential movements due to wind and thermal expansion.
